Horsebox Training

If you are an equestrian then at some point you may want or need to drive a Horsebox. Horseboxes can come in many different widths and lengths and will also vary in the total weight mass distribution in relation to your load, be that Horses or Equipment. You are legally entitled to drive a Horsebox from the age of 18. Train2Gain HGV offer a bespoke service that is tailor made for Horsebox owners, Stable hands, Stud Farm workers, Livery Yard staff and of course Parents and Riders.

Please call in and speak to a course co-ordinator who will explain the specific information that you will need about transporting a live load, tachograph law and Working Time Directives to ensure you understand the Driving Hours.

You will receive the exact same Commercial Driver Training as our HGV Drivers which will not only give you the best possible chance of passing the test the very first time but will also ensure that you will remain a safe and competent driver for many years to come.

We offer training for:

  • Small rigid Horseboxes between 3.5 and 7.5 tonnes (C1)
  • Small rigid Horseboxes towing trailer (C1+E)
  • Large Rigid Horseboxes over 7.5 tonnes (C)
  • Very large articulated Horsebox combinations (C+E)
